Last year a ground-breaking study revealed that the overwhelming majority of Neolitic farmers in Britain, the people who built Stonehenge, were replaced by migrating Bell Beaker population from continental Europe. R1b carrying Bell Beakers introduced metal-working to Britain.
Just hours ago, a new ground-breaking study revealed that Neolithic farmers coming from the Aegean / Turkey had replaced earlier hunter-gatherers in Britain: Ancient genomes indicate population replacement in Early Neolithic Britain and an overview at Megalith tombs were family graves in European Stone Age . (From 2018: About 4500 years ago, Britain's Stonehenge era population was replaced by migrating Bell Beaker people whose roots were in Central Asian steppes (ancestral home of the Turks)! )
This shows that migrations and not the exchange of ideas was responsible for the introduction of farming to the British Isles.
In recent years, ground-breaking ancient genetics studies showed that migrations were responsible for the founding of the big majority of ancient civilizations including Ancient Greece and Rome. (Read more on Sumerian Influence on Ancient Greece: Minoan, Mycenaean and Classical Greece also see How I proved that Ugur Turks / Hurrians were the founders of Ancient Greece)
The unexpected part in the British ancient genomes studies was the major population replacement. Just last month, it was revealed that the incoming Bell Beakers (R1b haplogroup bearers) had replaced the Neolithic farmers in Spain.
Megaliths in EuropeThe people who built Stonehenge have their origins in Central and Southeastern Turkey home to Gobeklitepe. There are similar unexcavated megaliths in the area, a few with T shaped stone structures, including some in Northern Iraq and Syria. Megaliths in Europe (4500–1500 BC) were built 3500 years after Gobeklitepe was deliberately buried and abandoned. While the time span between them, 3500 years, is huge and seemingly against such a link, While the time span between them, 3500 years, is huge and seemingly against such a link, there seem to be some Sumerian - Gobeklitepe connections with a similar time span among them. It might also be due to the influence of Ancient North Eurasians (ANE) at two different places.
Megaliths, Kurgan and PyramidsThe most recent genetics research from Spain has shown that the steppe people who built kurgans did not speak Indo-European languages. They spoke Basque, Vasconic or a related non-Indo-European language. The people who built the ziggurats also spoke an SOV, additive / agglutinative language see Mystery of the Egyptian Pyramids solved: Siberian mountains and Sumerian Ziggurats!
The origins of the English languageThe people who built Stonehenge (3000-2000 BC) have their origins in Central and Southeastern Turkey, home to Gobeklitepe. There are similar unexcavated megaliths including a few with T shaped stone structures in Southeast Turkey as well as in Northern Iraq and Syria. Megaliths in Europe (4500–1500 BC) were built 3500 years after Gobeklitepe (10,000-8000 BC) was deliberately buried and abandoned.
While the 3500 years time span between them is huge and against such a link, there seems to be some connection between sun/sky related beliefs of the Sumerian - Gobeklitepe civilizations with a similar time span among them.
Farmers' migration from Anatolia (Turkey) towards Europe started around 7000-6000 BC and first Neolithic farmers reached British Isles by 4000 BC. See the map of the Spread of farming from around the Taurus mountains towards Europe.
How and when this happened is yet unknown but the end result is very interesting. I had shown that both Basque and Indo-European are related to Sumerian.

BREAKING NEWS UPDATE 2019: Major genetics research paper from Spain published in March, 2019! Science has beaten history books once more, and the results fully support my theories, books and articles on the origin of Indo-European languages! The results shocked many Steppe Theory enthusiasts and many others who blindly accepted established theories. It's now time to put Steppe Theory in a kurgan!
